The first place team from the Luzerne County Envirothon, MMI Prep Team A, went on to compete with 65 other teams from throughout the state at the 28th Annual Pennsylvania Envirothon.  The event was held at Susquehanna University and Shikellamy State Park on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 24 and 25, 2011.  The MMI team won fifth place overall, while scoring highest in the Aquatics category.  Congratulations to MMI students Nicholas O’Clair, Brianna Nocchi, David Polashenski, Tyler Fulton, and Christian Parsons and their adviser/teacher Michael Mele!  You can read more at the PA Envirthon website.
