The Luzerne Conservation District will be accepting bids for the implementation of agricultural best management practices on two farms in Hollenback and Kingston Townships, Luzerne County.  The full bid package and supporting information can be downloaded by clicking on the document titles below:

  • Prevailing Wage Rate Info. – Davis Bacon Act Wage Determination from Department of Labor website for Wage Determination PA119 (BUILDING) for Luzerne County, PA.  Bidders should determine the specific wage categories they feel are appropriate for the project (i.e. equipment operator, truck driver, carpenter, laborer etc.).

 

Bidding Clarifications & Addenda:

  • 6/16/17 – Revised Design Plan & Technical Specification documents have been posted at the above links.  Please review and download the revised sheets if you accessed them prior to this date.

 

IMPORTANT!
Contractors interested in bidding on the project must visit the project sites for a 
required pre-bid examination of the areas to become fully informed as to all existing 
conditions and limitations including access and availability of materials.

The mandatory site showing will start at the Lipka Farm at 10:00 AM on June 20, 2017.  
The site showing will continue on to the Smith Farm (which is approximately 45 minutes 
from the Lipka Farm).

Ending Location:  Smith Farm - 33 Meadow Lane, Wapwallopen, PA 18660

BIDDING CLARIFICATIONS & ADDENDA:

#1 (8/1/16) – Contractor is required to provide the necessary fill for the project.  It is not available on-site.

#2 (8/1/16) – The waterer that is to be provided by the contractor is the MIRACO MiraFount 3330 single ball closure waterer.  Click here for specifications.

#3 (8/1/16) – Change the diameter of the concrete footing pad on the “Embedded Post: Double Post Installation” detail on page 26 from 30” to 32” diameter.

#4 (8/8/16) – There is no requirement for the contractor to supply concrete testing for this project.
