Watershed Stewardship

The district’s Watershed Stewardship Program focuses on improving the quality of Luzerne County’s surface and groundwater through the conservation and enhancement of natural systems within local watersheds.
The program is coordinated by the district’s Watershed Specialist, John Levitsky, who can be reached at 570-674-7991 ext. 5 or john@luzcd.org.

- procures funding for and administers watershed restoration projects
- provides watershed education programs to various age groups
- helps direct and influence local conservation issues by advising and participating on various committees and boards
