The Luzerne Conservation District will be accepting bids for the construction of two Emergency Watershed Protection Program streambank protection projects in Dennison & Kingston Townships, Luzerne County. *Prevailing Wage Rate Info. – Prevailing Wage applies to these projects. Wage Determinations are provided from the PA Department of Labor & Industry. Bidders should use the appropriate wage categories for personnel working on the project (i.e. Operators, Truck drivers, Carpenters, Laborers, etc.) when developing their bids.
Bid Document Appendix – Contract Attachments (to be posted soon) – This project is partly funded by a federal Emergency Watershed Protection Program grant and a state DEP grant. Therefore, the selected contractor will be subject to the provisions of this Appendix which apply to sub-contractors to the overall grant contract between the Conservation District, USDA NRCS, and PA DEP.
Bidding Clarifications & Addenda:
- 6/23/22 – Butts Project (Kingston Twp.): As discussed during the on-site pre-bid meeting, bids for the project should include removal of the large oak tree.
- 6/23/22 – Butts Project (Kingston Twp.): Stacked Rock Detail with concrete leveling is revised. Click here for the revised Stacked Rock Detail.
- 6/23/22 – Butts Project (Kingston Twp.): Stacked rock will be pinned if bedrock is encountered as shown in this Bedrock Pinning Detail (click here).
- 6/24/22 – Sudol Project (Dennison Twp.): Access to the site work will be completed along the left bank of Little Nescopeck Creek from East Nescopeck Creek Lane. The contractor is to restore the site to original stream cross section at completion.
Important Site Meeting:
IMPORTANT! Contractors interested in bidding on the project must visit the project sites for a required pre-bid examination of the areas to become fully informed as to all existing conditions and limitations including access and availability of materials.
The mandatory site showing will start at the Butts Property at 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022. The site showing will continue on to the Sudol Property (which is approximately 45 minutes from the Butts Property).
